The second of the Garden Cemeteries to open.
Opened 1837, in the London Borough of Lambeth.
The main buildings were designed in the Gothic style, by Sir William Tite and covers an area of 40 acres.
In 1966 it was purchased by Lambeth Council who run it with the Diocese of Southwark.
It is still in operation, partially.
