The Tamesis Dock floating pub. |
It was during a late afternoon wander along the River Thames that I discovered the Tamesis Dock floating pub. Intrigued I stepped aboard for a drink and found it to be cosy and welcoming.

Never a truer word written. |
Much like the TARDIS, from Doctor Who, the Tamesis Dock is a lot larger on the inside than it looks from the outside. Of course, there is seating available on the decks, too, for those warm London days and nights.

Tamesis Dock on the River Thames |
Brief History
Named after an ancient name for the River Thames, Tamesis Dock is a 1930s Dutch barge that has been converted into a floating pub.
Offering food, live music, an entertainment space and free wifi, along with views of Vauxhall Bridge, Tate Britain, Millbank, Thames House and Lambeth Bridge, the Tamesis Dock is a truly unique place for a quiet drink and a bite, while still close enough to the hustle and bustle of the Unfinished City.
